FROM PET PARENTS, FOR PET PARENTS
Agile like a cat, intuitive like a dog!
Over the last one year, I collaborated closely with developers in a highly agile environment, ensuring design and functionality worked seamlessly together. My focus was on crafting user-centered solutions that balanced creativity with technical feasibility. Through iterative feedback and rapid prototyping, we delivered impactful features efficiently. These solutions were designed to enrich the experiences of the animal lover community, making meaningful connections possible.
THE DESIGN PROCESS
From the field to the frames
The design process of the Tale of Tails app started with identifying real-world problems faced by pet parents, especially concerned with pet health and fitness, to ideating solutions that tackle them best. With multiple features that range from simple forms to store crucial health information in "TailsLocker", to highly engaging, intuitive and colorful screens packed with microflows in features like "Walk Tracker" and "PawSocial", Tale of Tails implements a large styleguide to maintain consistency and a seamless experience across iOS and Android, as users transition from one flow to another.
Micro-animations to add to the fun
The key is making sure the users really feel like they are in the pet space, while maintaining the fun factor. That's where mascots and micro-animations come in! Toto and Theo are inspired from Indie dogs and cats, and show up in a variety of poses and animations to add to the fun!
A quirky take on the writing
At Tale of Tails, I crafted a fun and quirky tone that keeps pet parents engaged, while ensuring they remain mindful of their pets’ health and well-being. I gained experience in curating a wide range of notifications, in-app messages, and written UX content in a mix of languages- English and Hindi.
